Recommended Suppliers
To assemble an OpenRAMAN spectrometer, you will need parts from different suppliers. We recommend purchasing off-the-shelve components from the supplier set in the Bill of Material (BOM) of each assembly1. Only substitute off-the-shelve parts by those recommended in our upgrades page.
Mechanical Parts (CNC)
Multiple CNC facilities exist but it is important to select one that can source the required material with an adequate tolerance. When submitting a part to a CNC service, be sure to upload both the STEP file and the PDF file. Most online quotation systems will also require you to fill in specific fields for tighter tolerances. Failing to do any of them may result in incorrect tolerances in your parts.
